After the success* of last week’s Missing Words competition, this week’s competition has a lot to live up to. (*success may not be the most appropriate word to use here)
This week’s Missing Words competition is both similar and different to last week. It’s different in the sense it’s a Caption Competition, but it’s similar in the sense there’s still a Free €/£50 Bet (screw you exchange rate) up for grabs. Yay!
We’re looking for the funniest and/or wittiest caption to accompany the photo below – or failing that – one that entertains us the most.
It’s a picture of former Englishman and current Irishman, Ed Joyce getting his hair done in Bangalore. The Irish cricket squad are competing in the Cricket World Cup and they took part in Today FM’s excellent Shave Or Dye campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. It’s a very worthy cause, but that doesn’t mean we can’t attach a funny caption to the photo.
Get your entries in before midnight on Sunday 6th March. Any entries after this point may amuse us, but will not be counted in the competition. The winner will be chosen by Paddy Power’s panel of comedy experts which comprises Paddy Power, Dawn French, whoever writes Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Shite and some guy who once watched a Peter Kay DVD (ha, ha … biscuits are funny).
Bang your entries into the comments section below and – if you’ve got enough ego to think you might actually win – your username so we can give you your potential prize. Have as many bites at the cheery as you fancy. This cherry’s going to be here all week.
Paddy Power Blog makey-up rules are final and winner will be announced sometime between when we’re finished on facebook and we start our 3 hour lunch break next Monday.
