The more eagle-eyed of you may have noticed that we haven’t had a Who’s Career Is It Anyway? for a few weeks now. Just in case you’re now thinking ‘I noticed that – woohoo I win’ – that isn’t the competition. Recently it became clear that WCIIA? was getting a little bit too easy – the competition equivalent of a guaranteed ride after two Smirnoff Ices – so we sent it off to competition boot camp to toughen it up.
Well, after much huffing, puffing and bluffing, we welcome back our new and improved competition. You’ll notice that the amorphous mass of arrows have been removed, mainly because it was making it a little too easy for everyone. Each flag represents a stop in the senior career of this footballer (may still be playing, may not be – who knows?) and we want you to tell us who’s career it is.
Send your answer and username to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘It’s still too easy for my massive brain’
It’s tough, but the idea is that if you are one of the few people who get it right, there’s a better chance of being rewarded. We could just ask you a question everyone knows the answer to like ‘Who’s been riding Imogen Thomas?’ but everyone would get it right and your chances of winning would be largely based on chance. Victory may still be based on chance with this one, but hopefully less so and skill (and by skill I do mean unhealthily nerdish knowledge of the career paths of random footballers) will prevail.
Get your answers in before midnight on Sunday 29th May. In the event we get more than one correct answer, the winner will be drawn at random. Feel free to have more than one guess, but anyone who takes the piss by naming every footballer ever listed in the Rothmans Football Yearbook or something will be excluded.
The basic prize is a Free €/£50 Bet, but we’ll add a euro-pound to the prize fund for every time the competition gets Retweeted. Retweet this tweet using the hashtag #PPBlogComp and it could see the total prize go up substantially.
Best of luck and you can use the comments section to beg for clues or kick around a few ideas.
– Paddy Power decision is final. No moaning
– Retweeting bonus will be capped at €150 if we get that far.
– Entrants must be over the age of 18 or at least remember the Olsen twins from when they got their big break in Full House.
