It’s that time of the week again when I’ve pretty much surfed every corner of the interweb and I turn my attentions to actually doing some work and by extension, that involves launching this week’s Blog Competition. This week we’re reverting to the pseudo-cryptic ‘fun’ of See It, Say It – where we ask you to string together the vague clues we’re trying to communicate in the pictures below to give us the identities of a few things associated with sport, be they people, places or anything else with a loose connection to sport.
It’s a lot more straightforward than I’ve made it sound, but if you need a refresher course in what to do, have a look at one of our previous competitions. Sometimes you need to be quite specific, other times a little more vague, but ultimately you should be able to piece together the clues to create the name of someone or something related to sport.
Send your 4 answers to email@example.com with or without the subject line ‘A Free Bet Is As Good As Mine’. Use the comments section for gloating, wild goose chases and general begging for clues, but any entries in the comments section WILL NOT COUNT for the competition and may give people who are less intelligent than you some much needed help. You’re allowed more than one guess, but please note your most recent guess will count as your entry.
The prize will start off as a Free £/€50 Bet, but we’re counting on you to bulk it up. Essentially, imagine the prize is a gym-monkey who – rather than injecting himself with steroids to build body mass – needs you to retweet this tweet or share this competition on Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn to become the huge Free Bet Beefcake he always dreamt of becoming. Rather than improving the size of his biceps, each retweet or Share will bump up the prize by £/€1 and there’s every chance you’ll stand to benefit from this collaborative effort. Yes that was a terrible analogy, but the essential point is ‘share this competition and you could eventually be the beneficiary’ especially as we’re abandoning our arbitrary winners and runners-up prizes and simply splitting that prize fund three ways. That’s basically 3 winners as opposed to one and who can complain about that? (i.e. don’t complain about that)
Get your answers in before 10am on Tuesday 22nd November and the winners will be picked out not long after. I’ll be available for any questions via the comments section or on twitter where I like to hang out as @PaddyPowerAidan
– Customers must be over the age of 18, have a valid paddypower.com account and remember Pat Sharpe for something other eating kangaroo balls in the jungle.
– Maximum size of the free bet will be €/£150.
– Paddy Power decision is final and moaning will be ridiculed.
