It’s got a nose like a builder’s elbow. No, we’re not talking about Jodie Marsh.
It’s the new Ferrari F1 car.
Christ, it’s like something you’d pull after 10 pints in Coppers.
Maybe it’s a practical joke Ferrari are pulling to lower expectations after winning just one of last year’s 19 races.
But the noises coming from the dock aren’t good.
After three days of pre-testing in Spain for the new season the Italian stallions have admitted they are “not happy” with the performance of their new beast.
Technical director Pat Fry says there is “still room for improvement” with just nine days before the first race of the season. No shit, Pat.
Drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso have also set the kind of times we’d expect from Jimmy Carr in a Top Gear lap test.
When asked if the car felt as ugly from the inside as it looked on the outside, Massa said: “That’s because we don’t see the front wing. We can’t see this new step which is very ugly to be honest.”
Ferrari call the design “aggressive”. We call it a pig. See what you think.
