Paddy Power has teamed up with Ireland’s amputee footballers at the launch of Paddy Power as the inaugural sponsor of the Irish Amputee Football Association (IAFA).
The IAFA was established in April 2011 to promote and develop the sport of amputee football across Ireland and provide any person with an amputation, congenital deficiency or any other limb affecting disorder the opportunity to access amputee football. Training sessions are open to both male and female amputees of all ages and levels of fitness.
Next month sees the national team travel to Manchester to take part in its first international tournament. There, they will face off against the national teams of Germany, Poland and Great Britain.
Paddy Power, pictured above at the launch, said: “We are delighted to be on board with the Irish Amputee Football Association. Every team member has been training hard in the run up to their first tournament and I’m certain that they’ll do us proud.”
