The Cheltenham Festival is around the corner and because I’ve flogged Whose Career Is It Anyway? to within an inch of its life for the last few months, it’s time for a change. We’re going back to a special Cheltenham edition of See It, Say It. Don’t let the crappy name fool you, it’s actually rather a fiendish competition designed to test your knowledge of pictures and how my brain works. And my brain works slowly before anyone can get the obvious gag in.
It’s straightforward. Each of the pictures below represents a sound/syllable of a horses name, you need to decipher what that sound is, string it together with the other sounds and hopefully come up with a name. There’s five in total and at the time of writing they’re all horses we’re expecting to turn up at Cheltenham next week. If you haven’t played before and would like some clarification on the game, have a go at some of these ones I made earlier such as this one, this one or this one. There you have it, best of luck.
Put your answer in an email and send it to email@example.com with or indeed without the subject line ‘Cheltenham Fever Is A Serious Condition’. DO NOT PUT YOUR GUESS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION – it won’t count towards the competition. You’re allowed to have more than one guess, but please note that your most recent guess will count towards the competition so even if you got 5/5 first time, if you then change your answers and get 4/5 then the 4/5 will count. If you’ve got any questions or merely some observations on life, use the comments section for that, but no answers please.
The prize starts off as a £/€50 Free Bet, but I’m imploring you to – for the want of a better word – whore this competition this competition around the social networks of this world. Every time this tweet gets retweeted or this competition gets shared on Facebook, LinkedIn or the other ones, I’ll add one europound to the prize. You really should do it because (a) it’s the nice thing to do and (b) you might well be the person who benefits from the vast inflation of the prize.
Get your answers in before 10am on Monday 12th March. I’ll reveal the answer and the winner soon after. If you’ve got any questions, give me a shout on twitter where I’m @PaddyPowerAidan or in the comments section.
