Serving up another great tennis special on the Cincinnati Masters

by Rob Dore | August 13, 2012

Whether Andy Murray was actually injured last week or whether he just wanted to go home early to rub his Olympic gold medal all over his pasty naked Scottish body we may never know. What we do know is that the world number 4 is in the best frame of mind of his career right now. He’s won a major tournament, even if it’s not a Grand Slam, and his Wimbledon tears have earned him the support of the British public. If Andy is fully fit then he’ll be one of the strongest contenders for this week’s event. He’s won this tournament twice over the last four years.

That said, the outright favourite Roger Federer has won four of the last seven Cincinnati Masters. Despite now being in the twilight of his tennis career, the 32-year old world number one proved at Wimbledon that he’s still one of the best players on tour. With Federer as the number one seed and Murray the number three seed, we could very well see these two meeting in their third final in just over a month.

If you want to keep an eye on Andy’s progress, you can watch every game from the tournament live on All you have to do is log in and enjoy.

Paddy Power will also be refunding losing pre-match match bets on any player who loses in a final-set tie-breaker.
