Fulham v Norwich

Saturday August 18th, 15:00, Craven Cottage

Fulham and Norwich City both enjoyed tremendous campaigns last season, with the Cottagers achieving a top-half finish following a tough start due to juggling domestic competition with Europa League action.

The Canaries were also singing a merry tune, with the team never really feeling threatened by the relegation trapdoor in their first season back in the top flight.

However, Norwich have had a rollercoaster of a summer compared with their relatively peaceful time in the Premier League last season. Paul Lambert shocked the club when he handed in his notice, but the Canaries were boosted when former Newcastle and Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton took up the post.

The club has also waved off interest for star striker Grant Holt, who has to be worth a punt at 5/2 to score at anytime at Craven Cottage.

Fulham are going to be a tough cookie to crack on their home turf though – Norwich fans only know that point too well after seeing their side fall to Fulham 2-1 when they last met at Craven Cottage back in March.

Paddy Power is offering odds of 4/5 for the Cottagers to stuff the Canaries once more, while Norwich are 7/2 to fly high from the off.

Prediction: Grant Holt to score at anytime at 5/2
