Backers of Urban Space thought they were on to a good thing when they backed the 5/4 favourite for 6.30 Windsor. The John Flint trained six year old was well fancied to land the seventh victory of his career, but sadly his challenge got no further than the starting gates. The horse knuckled as the gates opened, putting paid to his chances of victory and disappointing supporters of the well-backed favourite.
While other bookies and betting exchanges point to the part of the of rule book that says ‘Tough Luck’, we’re doing the decent thing and refunding all bets on the favourite. They didn’t get a run for their money, so it’s only fair and that means there’s over £20,000 winging it’s way back towards the accounts of customers.
