With a tricky looking World Cup qualifying campaign ahead of them the boys in green will be looking to get off to a cracking start with a win in Kazakhstan. Paddy Power has just about got over the heartache of the summer and now full of renewed optimism and belief he’s got a cracking Money-Back Special lined up for the game.
If Robbie Keane scores the last goal, Paddy will refund all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match!
Paddy might have put the flags away and wing-mirror covers have come off the car but he is still confident that Ireland can get off to a winning start against a Kazakhstan team that aren’t well-fancied.
Giovanni Trapattoni’s men have made the eight-hour trip to the Astana Arena without some of their household names but Robbie Keane continues to lead the line. Shay Given and Damien Duff may have hung up their international boots but Keane is still a key part of Trapp’s squad and the man to get the goals on the big stage.
Despite not scoring since the game against Estonia in November 2011, Keane’s record at international level is incredible with a goal almost every other game. Like all the Irish fans Paddy will be hoping Robbie can get on the scoresheet in Kazakstan.
Of course if he scores last it will be great news for Paddy Power punters who know that they’ll be getting their Money-Back courtesy of another mega-generous special.
