GIF: Merseyside memories – AJ at the double

by Josh Powell | October 28, 2012

It was Everton’s biggest derby win for more than 30 years and on a sunny day at Goodison Park Andy Johnson became a hero for the Toffees.

A brace by the striker helped the blues to a 3-0 win in 2006 as the Toffees gave their fiercest rivals a healthy thumping. Pepe Reina’s attempt at juggling handed Johnson his second from less than a yard away but this super-cool finish gave Everton that two-goal cushion before the break.

It is 25/1 for Everton to beat Liverpool 3-0 this afternoon and a whopping 80/1 for them to be 2-0 up at half-time and win 3-0.
