Betting news on Manchester City, the Grand Slam of Darts and today’s racing

by Josh Powell | November 12, 2012

Comeback kings Manchester United and Manchester City are first and second in the Premier League after Chelsea slipped up at home to Liverpool.

After being 2-0 down to Aston Villa, United recovered to win 3-2 and are now odds-on at 10/11 to regain their league crown. Manchester City are 2/1 with Chelsea at 4/1It appears to be a three-horse race with Arsenal the next club in the betting at a huge 40/1The Gunners dropped points again this weekend at home to Fulham.

Unfortunately for football fans across the country there is some pretty shoddy international friendlies this week including Sweden v England and the thriller that is Ireland Greece. Unsurprisingly players are dropping out of Hodgson’s squad at the smallest sign of a sniffle leaving the England gaffer to make a number of changes before the game. The Three Lions are 6/4 for the win with Sweden at 17/10.

Ireland are 13/10 to beat Greece in a game that will be littered with jokes about the economy.

The Grand Slam of Darts continues from Wolverhampton today with two-time world champion Adrian Lewis in action against John Part.

Raymond Van Barneveld, Gary Anderson and Andy Hamilton are just some of the other players in action in the second round of games from the group stages. Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is 6/4 to win the tournament outright for the fifth time in his career.

If the final check-out of any match is 100+ Paddy Power will refund your losing betting-in-running match bets on that game.

Racing today comes from Carlisle and Southwell. The meeting at Limerick has been abandoned due to overnight rain.
