Five football clubs to spice up Victoria Beckham’s life (pies are involved)

by Josh Powell | November 21, 2012

SPICE BURGER UP YOUR LIFE: A move to Morecambe could flesh out Victoria a little

David Beckham announced his intentions to leave LA Galaxy at the end of December, wanting one last challenge before he ends his career. There are plenty of rumours knocking around about where Sir Dave will end up, with the big money in China, the chance to work with Emile Heskey in Australia or going to Celtic with Snoop Dogg all packing plenty of appeal.

However, with Victoria Beckham wearing the trousers in that family we’re helping the Beckhams decide where to go. Very much like Thomas Cook, just minus the Redknapp family, we’ve put together the top five alternative football clubs Victoria might like to head for…

5. Stockport County – In need of some glamour

The Hatters are a club in desperate need of a bit of glamour. That’s where Posh Spice could come in. Sitting 14th in the Conference, Stockport need to inject some style into their game.

4. Southampton – The Premier League’s happiest fans

The happiest fans in the top flight could do a job cheering up Victoria. A few home games at St Marys is just what the doctor ordered to turn that frown upside down.

3. Liverpool – The noisiest fans

At a deafening 97 decibels Liverpool have the loudest fans in the Premier League. Anfield is the perfect place to drown out Mrs Beckham’s terrible vocals.

2. Brighton and Hove – The stunning weather

Forget the sunbeds, the Beckham’s can head to Brighton and Hove for a natural tan. East Sussex gets nearly 1750 hours of sunshine a year, which is an average of just under five hours a day. Beautiful.

1. Morecambe FC – Food glorious food

It wouldn’t do Victoria any harm to wolf down a steak and ale pie every now and again. The Globe Arena in Lancashire is the award-winning home of the Best Football Pie 2012.
