MARIO ON THE MOVE: Balotelli looks set to be swapping Manchester for Milan

Bye Bye Balotelli

Mario Balotelli looks like he is off to AC Milan after throwing a leaving party in his house that has recently been put up for rent in Manchester. According to the reports, a number of close friends were invited to the bash and Balotelli gave out little party bags. We can only assume our invite was lost in the post.

The 22-year-old joined City in August 2010 for £22 million from Inter Milan but City look set to accept Milan’s £17 million offer with Kevin-Prince Boateng coming to the Etihad Stadium. The Sun.

Drogba eyes up Galatasaray as he turns down a return to Chelsea

Roman Abramovich is laying on the charm as he tries to win over disgruntled Chelsea fans. The European Champs struggled to a 2-2 draw with lower-league Brentford in the fourth round of the FA Cup and unsurprisingly Rafa Benitez was on the end of a healthy dose of abuse from the Chelsea faithful. Like a boyfriend trying to earn brownie points, Roman has dipped into his wad of cash and is trying to tempt Stamford Bridge legend Didier Drogba back to the club.

Drogba won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and a Champions League with Chelsea and hasn’t settled since leaving the Blues for Chinease club Shanghai Shenhua last year. But it seems the 34-year-old isn’t interested in a hero’s return, and instead looks poised to join Wesley Sneijder at Galatasaray. The Daily Mail and the Telegraph.

The forgotten David Bentley could be off to Reading

David Bentley was once described by England fans as ‘The Next David Beckham’, which is about as accurate as describing Susan Boyle as ‘The Next Miss World’. The 28-year-old has been out of favour at Tottenham for almost four years but now reports have surfaced that he could be on his way to join Reading as they fight for their Premier League survival.

The Royals have had a £6.5 million bid for Blackpool’s Tom Ince turned down so have turned their attention to Bentley. Blackpool are holding firm for at least £7 million for the promising youngster who has bagged 15 goals and nine assists in 27 league games this year. Bentley has scored just 18 league goals in the last decade. The Daily Mail.
