Wednesday January 30th
Finally the weather has just about held off long enough for the UK to get some racing on that lovely green stuff on the ground known as grass. Of course we can still get down and dirty on the all-weather with Kempton this evening but this afternoon there are two race meetings with the all clear at Ludlow and Leicester.
Just in case you haven’t opened your curtains for the last two weeks the country has been battered by the elements so unsurprisingly the going at both courses is soft, heavy in places, and with showers due at Ludlow that could change.
For the more exotic punter there is also plenty of racing abroad and Paddy Power has donned his shades and beach shorts to price up and stream the racing from South Africa and South America. Throw in an eight race card from Cagnessurmer in France and you’ve got a fantastic days racing to contend with.
Kempton: Seven races on the all-weather, 4.50pm-7.50pm
Leicester: Six all-chase races, the going is soft (heavy in places), 2.00pm-4.30pm
Ludlow: Seven race meeting, the going is soft (heavy in places), 1.40pm-4.40pm
Fairview: Eight race meeting, 10.30am-2.45pm
San Isidro: 10 race meeting, 6.00pm-10.15pm
Cagnessurmer: Eight race meeting, 12.50pm-4.25pm
