Top pundit Andy Gray gives his expert Premier League football tips to Paddy Power

Manchester City vs Liverpool, Sky Sports 1 4pm

Liverpool are still looking to get a win against a team in the top half of the league this season. It’s a record, and it’s not a good one. Brendan Rodgers’ team is improving and showed that in the draw against Arsenal.

With Lucas back, Steven Gerrard playing in every minute of every Premier League game, and Daniel Sturridge in the fold, they’ve got players in form and better options now. It’ll be a tough match for Manchester City but I fancy City. They don’t lose many at the Etihad and this will be a close game.

Manchester City are far better defensively than Arsenal, though. They’ve gone six games and 555 minutes without conceding a goal, which is an unbelievable record.

City need to be back to, at most, just four points behind Manchester United in the next eight games. If they are still seven (or 10 behind) they you can chip Manchester United’s name into the Premier League trophy.

Manchester City v Liverpool

Goalscorers: I hope Roberto Mancini starts with the two Argentinians, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero. This is City’s best partnership and the two who cause most havoc. I wouldn’t look past either of them for first goalscorer. Either Carlos Tevez or Sergio Aguero are 9/2 with Paddy Power to score first.

One of the Liverpool centre-backs from a corner is a good shout. Daniel Agger is worth a few bob at 9/1 anytime [share this tip on twitter] (or it’s a massive 200/1 for Agger first and City to win 2-1)

Andy Gray’s tip: Liverpool can score, but Manchester City will beat them 2-1.
