Wednesday February 6th
There’s some great news for horse racing fans today. Not only is it just 34 sleeps until the start of Cheltenham but the weather is improving slightly. The rain, snow, sleet and slush has held off and that means we have two jumps cards in the UK today from Carlisle and Ludlow. Unfortunately Down Royal didn’t survive, but throw in all-weather meetings at Southwell and Kempton and you’ve got a cracking cocktail of racing this afternoon.
Make that cocktail even more exotic by throwing a mini-umbrella into it and enjoy some racing from South Africa, South America and France. Paddy has priced up the racing from abroad if you fancy a punt on meetings in a sunnier climate.
Carlisle: Six race meeting, the going is soft (heavy in places) 1.50pm-4.35pm
Ludlow: Seven race meeting, the going is soft, 1.40pm-4.55pm
Southwell: Seven race meeting on the all-weather, 1.30pm-4.45pm
Kempton: Seven race meeting on the all-weather, 5.05pm-8.05pm
Kenilworth: Nine race meeting, 10.25am-3.20pm
San Isidro: 10 race meeting, 5.30pm-10.00pm
Cagnessurmer: Eight race meeting, 12.00pm-3.35pm
