YOU’RE GUNNETR HAVE TO START AGAIN: Wenger’s season goes from bad to worse

Arsenal suffered a humiliating 1-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday in a result that heaped more pressure on beleagured manager Arsene Wenge – and more abuse on cheerleader-in-chief Piers Morgan.

Michael Owen was quick out of the blocks.

while Gary ‘Spraytan’ Lineker was close behind

The Gunners are without a trophy at the Emirates since the FA Cup in May 2005 and Wenger is thought to have earned up to stg £6m per annum since then  – but are 21 points off Manchester United in the title race as pointed out by Rio Ferdinand.  And @paddypower.

The North London club are also in real danger of not qualifying for the Champions League’s for the first time in 15 years and really need to win this season’s competition to ensure qualification next year.

And Morgan has had enough.

Wenger opted to rest many of his star players ahead of next Tuesday night’s first-leg tie with Bayern Munich at the Emirates but was forced to spring Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla from the bench after 70 minutes.

Two minutes later, Colin Kazim-Richards’ goal gave Blackburn the lead and sent them through to the quarter-finals of the competition  – and Arsenal crashing out of the FA Cup.
