Swansea v Bradford
Capital One Cup Final, Sunday 4pm
If you go into this game as a Swansea fan you pray that you play to your form, your players don’t freeze and you play well. Michael Laudrup must feel that if eight or nine of his payers are at the top of their game then they win.
Phil Parkinson must hope that Swansea play poorly, Bradford are at their best and they get a bit of luck. Don’t forget Bradford have beaten Arsenal and Aston Villa and both of those teams have beaten Swansea so if you’re a Bradford fan looking for hope it is there.
The gulf in the class could show at Wembley and Bradford could get hammered but their cup run doesn’t deserve that. Yes, Bradford beat Villa, Wigan and Arsenal, but can they make it a fourth Premier League club? The big pitch will suit Swansea’s style and the Swans will be more accustomed to the big stage environment. You never know but this is a big ask for Bradford and Swansea should win at 2/5.
Michu has found goalscoring a little more problematic in the second half of the season, but the couple he bagged against QPR should help. That will settle him down. He will enjoy Wembley and the wide open spaces and he will cause Bradford the most trouble. He is 7/2 to score first or 5/6 at anytime.
