Moves to Turkey can be risky. There’s chicanery, smoke, mirrors and you’re never sure what you’re going to get what was promised.
Still though Bursaspor took the risk and went ahead with signing Scott Carson in 2011. It was an odd move for the England international, but for the most part, it’s a deal that’s gone well. That was until last night when Carson came up with this moment of madness.
When the situation called for a solid punt into whatever Row Z is in the Turkish language (‘Satir Z’ Google Translate unconvincingly tells us), he tries to get a bit ‘Barcelona’ on it and it ends about as well as a Jordan marriage.
It was pretty crucial as they went on to lose the match 2-1. Still though Bursaspor fans – it’s not all bad news. You had Anton Ferdinand on the bench. Yay!
