Bomb-proof. Rock solid. Untouchable. That’s how many pundits and jockeys would describe Bobs Worth’s Hennessy Gold Cup form going in to the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the biggest race of the Festival. But legendary snooker World Champion, gee-gee fanatic and lovable Scouser John Parrott has one to oppose it and he’s not shy in telling us who.
The Nicky Henderson-trained Bobs Worth was impressive when leaving Tidal Bay almost four lengths behind to win the Hennessy. That form held up when Tidal Bay went on to win the Lexus and connections are sweet on the favourites chances. He travels strongly and his Cheltenham record is four for four.
Parrott can’t help but like the 3/1 shot as well but he has dipped into the form book to pick one out that could challenge Bobs Worth as they head up the hill towards the post.
