Matt Chapman | Chester betting tips

If you’re a Tottenham Hotspur fan you want to be on Moviesta in the 4.25pm at Chester.

He’s Harry Redknapp’s horse and he showed good pace around Doncaster last time out. He took a key hold there which is what he’ll have to do at Chester.

So if you are a big fan of Sir Harry Redknapp, and I call him a Sir because he should be, Moviesta is the one for you.

The favourite beats the handicapper

Mayaasem is very interesting. From the Hills stable, we know historically Barry Hills has really taken to this circuit and Charlie will want too as well.

This horse showed speed as a two-year old over five furlongs and then stepped up to seven at Folkestone before dropping back this season to win a Maiden at Pontefract over six. We know six furlongs at Pontefract is quite stiff so he will stay the six in a truly run race at Chester strongly.

He did hang a little bit left in the closing stages there and that isn’t the first time this horse has done that, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Mayaasem proves a little bit better than the current handicap mark.

Your Pal Tal will fly out

It’s important to look at low draws. In stall one Your Pal Tal is interesting for Tommy Stack and Kieren Fallon. He’s got the best of the draw, has mainly run at Dundalk, apart from at Cork last time, but that was on heavy ground. The fact that he has been at Dundalk suggests to me that this horse is going to like some good good ground.

If you’re looking for a selection in this race at a decent price, go for a horse that has shown nothing in its two runs this season. That is Your Pal Tal.

Coming out of stall number one, Fallon is booked for the Stack, and I think this horse can ping the traps on faster ground which it will never ever encounter in its life in Ireland. But the fact that it was a winner at Dundalk on the all-weather there, suggests faster ground will suit.

He’ll be a reasonable price after two priced runs. He’s got Fallon on board who had a good winner at Chester on Wednesday, so at a price and with Paddy Power paying four places it is worth going for Your Pal Tal.
