Paddy Power has refunded all win and each way single bets to customers who backed Ireland’s Ryan Dolan for last night’s Eurovision.
The singer, from Co Tyrone, finished last on Saturday night. For shame. But punters don’t have to bare the brunt of that humiliation so there’s more than €15,000 going back into the pockets and online accounts of those who backed Ireland with Paddy Power.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: “Ryan genuinely didn’t deserve to finish last. He was well backed from the off but punters never got a run for their money and the only fair thing to do is to refund them their money.”
Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest won the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Only Teardrops.
Refund applies to win and e/w single bets only for all channels including betting-in-running.
