By Josh Powell | Jose Mourinho specials
Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge was never really in doubt but it was finally confirmed over the weekend that the Special One was back at Chelsea. It surprised precisely nobody, but the confirmation sparked die-hard Chelsea fans into a wild frenzy of posting ludicrous statements on Twitter. Here is a small window into the blindly optimistic world of deluded Chelsea fans.

Sure Mourinho had a bad last season with Madrid, only to make it that more special when he wins the treble with Chelsea #WelcomeHome

Despite this well-constructed logic that Mourinho will definitely win every game ever now he’s back at Chelsea, Paddy isn’t convinced. It’s odds-on at 4/5 that the Special One finishes the 2013/14 season with an empty trophy cabinet.
Since Mourinho left London for the first time less than six years ago Chelsea have turned over eight managers and Roman Abramovich isn’t known for his sentimentality. The boss demands results and if Mourinho doesn’t provide them Abramovich won’t be shy in showing him the door. It is 4/1 for Jose not to be in charge on the first day of the 2014/15 season and 7/2 that he’s gone before the end of this season.
Going into a new season where both Manchester sides are changing managers and Arsenal are once again aiming to finish fourth does give Chelsea fans a little reason to be optimistic, and Paddy has made the Blues 12/5 to win the crown this year. It is 11/8 that Jose wins one major trophy in his first season back at the Bridge and 13/2 that he wins two.
For the optimistic Chelsea fans out there you can back Mourinho to win the quadruple at 250/1 and he’s 25/1 to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the 2013/14 season.
