6 horses you’re backing to teach Paddy a lesson on Day Two of Royal Ascot

FASHION STAKES : But who’ll win the races on Day Two  at Ascot

Royal Ascot | Day Two betting preview

Sean Goff dips into Paddy Power’s database to see where YOUR money is going on Tuesday’s big races.

Paddy thought he’d dodged a bullet with Animal Kingdom yesterday before Dawn Approach dropped a few bombs on the balance sheet later in the day. With four Irish-trained winners on day one – including his family’s Sole Power – it’s honours even heading into day two of Royal Ascot 2013.

With another Money Back Special All Losers if second to the fav in the Jersey Stakes Paddy’s got to keep Camelot on the right side and hope a popular punt doesn’t develop in the Royal Hunt Cup where’s he paying the first 5 home.

Here are the best backed horses on on Day Two of Royal Ascot 2013 ahead of the off…

2.30 pm: Garswood

It’s tight at the top of the market but Richard Fahey’s Garswood is the one Paddy Power punters want. Won the Free Handicap over 7f at Newmarket but didn’t get the run of the race in the 2,000 Guineas on the same track. Backed to make amends today.  And Paddy’s going money back all losers if the favourite wins the Day Two opener.

Jersey Stakes

3.05 pm: Dank

Sir Michael Stoute didn’t have a winner on day one but that mightn’t last if money talks. Dank returned to winning ways in a Group 3 at Newmarket and has been punted to put it up to Irish raider Duntle.

3.45pm: Camelot

Dawn Approach repaired his damaged reputation to take the St James’s Palace Stakes and triple Classic winner Camelot looks to do the same today. Ballydoyle provided two of Ireland’s four winners yesterday and punters believe Aidan O’Brien can work his magic on last year’s Derby winner who was beaten by today’s rival Al Kazeem at the Curragh last time out.

4.25pm: Directorship

A lottery of 30 runners but punters have been getting stuck in a ll morning to hat-trick seeking Directorship. Last year’s fourth Field of Dream for Jamie Osborne is also popular in the Berkshire cavalry charge that throws up more hard-luck stories than an episode of Corrie. Paddy’s paying five places to make it a bit easier though and the Combined Horses bet where you get to back up to four selections for the price of one is made for a race like this where the draw is all important.

Royal Hunt Cup

5pm: Beldale Memory

A Listed winner on a three-timer for the Clive Cox’s yard who’s already had a few of these behind on her latest York win.

5.35pm: Bracing Breeze

Despite being put put back in his box by Dermot Weld over and over again through the years Paddy’s got plenty of liabilities running up on this one in the lucky last. Weld is a master trainer of fillies and loves a winner at Royal Ascot. Punters have taken the hint at a tasty 9/1 earlier to force this one into challenging for favouritism.
