Swansea v Liverpool, Monday 8pm, Sky Sports 1
Liverpool have had a dream start but they haven’t been playing teams off the park as some would have you believe. Jonathan Walters missed a last-gasp penalty for Stoke that would have put a different perspective on their season.
They followed that up with a 1-0 win at Villa Park and a home win over champions Manchester United and are 5/4 favourites to win tonight.
Reds fans can’t ask for much more though as they’ve won three, seen Daniel Sturridge score a goal a game and new goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has kept three clean sheets.
This will be a tough game though and I fancy Swansea to beat them.
Liverpool haven’t won on their last two visits to Liberty Stadium, they drew 0-0 last season and lost 1-0 the season before.
It’s very difficult for any side to win four Premier League games on the bounce and I’m backing Swansea (23/10) to take all three points.
There’s no doubt that Michu – 18 goals last season – and record-signing Wilfried Bony are the main threat for the Swans and could be a force to be reckoned with this term.
Both of them are 8/1 in the first goalscorer market and can also be backed at 9/2 to score first for their team.
Micheal Laudrup’s side needed the 2-0 win away to West Brom to get their season started after earlier losses to Manchester United and Spurs. I fancy them to kick on now.
