EXCLUSIVE PIC: The Cockney Mafia tactics that saw Newcastle humbled at Everton

by Aidan Elder | October 1, 2013

As scorelines go, it certainly wasn’t the worst Newcastle have had to endure, but in terms bringing embarrassment to the city, it was comparable with Jimmy Nail’s musical career.

The Magpies were humbled. 3-0 down before Sky Sports to could even begin to excessively advertise the fact they’re showing lots of Champions League football this week, it was a humiliating night for the Toon Army. A cracking goal from Yohann Cabaye and a less cracking goal from Loic Remy put some respectability on the scoreline, but it was over long before the Phil Dowd blew the final whistle.

It immediately sparked the ‘anti-Cockney Mafia’ anger among fans which seemed to have abated slightly and again brought into focus the weird Director of Football role of Joe Kinnear and how that impacts on the work of manager, Alan Pardew. As revealed by our powerful camera lens, here are the tactics devised by Kinnear for last night’s game. Kind of.
