Everybody loves a stunning own goal. Except maybe the guy responsible for it and his team-mates. Actually, even his team-mates might secretly love it, especially if it comes in a game they won’t going to win anyway.
Being 1-0 down after 16 minutes, FC Schweinfurt weren’t looking likely to beat the 1860 Munich Reserves, but Stefan Seufert brightened up an otherwise regulation defeat with this stunning own goal from just inside his own half. You can see what he was trying to do, but it didn’t work and turned into something far more amusing.
In a superextrabonus bit of LOLZ, Schweinfurt means ‘pig ford’ in English i.e. the place on the river where the pigs cross. If any of those pigs have a pair of football boots, it might be worth giving them a game.
