If Santa was down at the X Factor studios this weekend he would be updating his celebrity Christmas list as some were nice and others were extremely naughty.
Much to the surprise and delight of some audience members, One Direction spent Sunday at the studio, pre-recording their performance ahead of next weekend’s show. They are unable to perform live as they have several sold out shows booked in LA. The theme of next week’s show is ten years of the X Factor and One Direction are the big surprise act (well they were).
In true One D style they weren’t happy just being at the X Factor and spent most of the night trying to crash the show, including Harry standing off the Xtra Factor set trying to make his ex-Caroline Flack laugh. They may no longer be an item but they are definitely close friends.
Niall caused his own naughtiness when he absconded from Sharon’s dressing room with her pet dog Bella. Thankfully by the time Ozzy realised the pooch was gone Niall had thought better of it and returned the Pomeranian to her basket.
Coal for Moss
The real naughty celebrity on the night was, (surprise, surprise) Kate Moss. She arrived just after the show on Sunday night with a four man entourage and was ushered straight to Dermot’s dressing room. I am told they are good friends and they were sipping champagne for hours after the show.
Kate would not come out of the dressing room while the photographers were there and she didn’t mingle with any of the acts or the other judges. I know one of the X Factor staff members asked for a photograph which she refused, and wouldn’t even look at the poor girl. She left the studio in tears at how rude the Supermodel was.
So Santa, a bag of coal for Miss Moss please.
Squeaky bum time for Hannah
Back to the business end of things and there was a collective sigh of relief when Sam Callaghan was in the bottom two, even if it was against Luke Friend. There was a fear backstage that Hannah Barrett would be up for the sing off again this week and that Sam would escape but thankfully justice was done and the Essex lad was sent packing.
Sam is a firm favourite with the X Factor staff but it would have been wrong for Hannah or Luke to go home at his expense. He has made the tour now and I think there is a really good chance that he will end up getting some television work, even if it is a spot on TOWIE.
Next week we are definitely down to the business week of the competition as someone with real talent and potential will be going home. Paddy Power has Hannah at 4/6 to go home with Luke next at 5/2.
My head says it will be Hannah but I am hearing backstage that all is not well with Rough Copy. My sources tell me that a rift has developed between the group and Gary Barlow and that they are not getting on with the other acts. With that in mind, if they end up in the bottom two, there is a good chance that they will be sent home. They are 12/1 to be the next act eliminated and I think I will have a small bet on them this week.
