NFL Video: Your Week 16 tips and predictions

by Sean Goff | December 19, 2013

With 13 teams vying for the eight remaining play-off spots, expect more pent-up aggression to be released than a game of Trivial Pursuit on Christmas Day.

Sky Sports two live games this weekend will have a huge bearing on the play-off picture and Pat and Kenny at PPSN are all over it.

The Carolina Panthers are 3.5 points favourites at home todivisional rivals the New Orleans Saints. Quarterback Cam Newton is in top form so they’ll be looking to win the game, securing both the NFC South title and clinching the second seed in the NFC play-off race.

New England (live on Sky, 9pm).are on a retrieval mission in Baltimore (10/11@ -2.5) after the Dolphins sank them last week.

But a Patriots win would secure the second seed in the AFC play-off race. Wins for the Broncos and New England should ensure a bye in the first round of the play-offs and home-field advantage in their divisional round match-up.

The Baltimore Ravens (8-6), together with Cincinnati Bengals (9-5)Miami Dolphins (8-6)San Diego Chargers (7-7) and Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8) are the other teams looking to get in and nail down a Wildcard spot.

In the NFC Seattle Seahawks look like they have nailed down the top spot.

With seven teams vying for the remaining five spots. The division to watch is the NFC North where three teams are vying to win the division and take a Wildcard spot, These teams namely the Chicago Bears (8-6), Green Bay Packers (7-6-1) and Detroit Lions (7-7) can’t afford to lose a game in the remaining two weeks if they want to get in.
