After a wholly unpredictable season in the NFL where chaos seemed to reign, we’ve ended up with the four best teams making it to the Conference Championship finals.
First up in the AFC Championship, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady go head-to-head for the 15th time in their careers. Brady (36) holds a 10-4 lead over his fellow future Hall-of-Famer but the New England Patriots have to travel to the Mile High stadium in Denver to take on the Broncos. On the road Brady’s advantage over Manning is far slimmer at 3-2. Manning (37) has more options to pass to but the Pats have developed a dangerous run game and a defence which is starting to make big plays.
The line-up for this year’s Super Bowl will be decided in Seattle where Russell Wilson (25) of the Seahawks takes on fellow young gun Colin Kaepernick (26) of the San Francisco 49ers. Two exciting, mobile young quarter-backs who can make plays with their arm or with their feet. Both men will be facing formidable defences so there’s little to separate them. Seattle’s 12th man could well be the difference in this game.
