Sport fans across the world are used to players spouting out the same old guff all the time in post-game interviews. In between thanking God, commending the opposition and uttering many cliches there’s not a whole lot of substance.
Step forward Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks and one of the finest post-game interviews you’ll here for quite some time.
The cornerback made a game-saving play at the end of the Championship game which the Seahawks won 23-17 against the San Francisco 49ers. When asked by the interviewer to describe the final play, Sherman instead decided to trash talk the 49ers’ wide receiver Michael Crabtree in emphatic style.
All that was missing was a good old-fashioned ‘Suck It’ crotch thrust and we would have had the interview to end all interviews.
