Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson made it two-for-two in the Bellator cage with this first round stoppage of Christian M’Pumbu. Thanks to some classic Rampage ground and pound.
This win now sets up a clash with Bellator’s only other recognisable light-heavyweight, Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal, for the title. Lawal secured a comfortable points win over Mikhail Zayats on Friday night’s Bellator 110 card. Mo and Rampage then had a ratings boosting face-off in the ring which, despite various media outlets, came nowhere close to blows.
It does help to create a rare Bellator fight I’d actually pay to see.
