Alan Pardew continued a strange trend of touchline spats when he decided to ‘push’ Hulls’ David Meyler away with his head. After previous spats with Arsene Wenger, Manuel Pellegrini and an innocent linesman, this latest incident does not look so good on Pards’ CV, but it does mean our Ball of Shame team had something to do on an otherwise quiet Saturday.
Strangely Newcastle were cruising 3-1 at Hull – and would eventually score another – so why Alan Pardew was so incensed by Meyler is still a mystery. But by nudging his bonce in the direction of the Hull players head, Pardew has unlocked a Money-Back offer for all customers when Newcastle travel to Fulham on March 15.
If any Newcastle player scores with their nut against the Cottagers it’s money-back.
- Five of Newcastle’s 37 goals this season have been headers
- 23 per cent of Loic Remy’s tally in the league have come via his head
- Fulham have conceded eight headers this season – only Cardiff (10) and Liverpool (9), have conceded more
Pardew got slapped with a £100k fine from Newcastle and the busy-bodies at the FA heaped more woe on the beleagured Magpie’s boss. The Newcastle gaffer is a 20/1 shot to be the next Premier League manager to get the boot.
