Five things worse than Steve Bruce’s record at Old Trafford

Brighten up your Tuesday with five rib-tickling #Fails that make Steve Bruce's Old Trafford stats look positively golden

by Josh Powell | May 6, 2014

Steve Bruce’s record against his former club, Manchester United, is nothing short of shocking. Even with a sugar-coating of generosity you’d still describe his record as absolute muck. From 18 matches Bruce has won none.

Absolutely zilch.

That makes the odds of 4/11 around Man United look particularly generous, despite the Red Devils’ mediocre campaign. Even more appealing for punters would be the 13/10 on United to win to nil. Bruce has taken visiting sides to the Theatre of Dreams on eight occasions, and in seven of those games he has lost and failed to score. Not the best omen for any away fans taking a midweek trip along the M62.

But Hull fans shouldn’t be too disheartened. Not only have they guaranteed Premier League football and some European action next season, but they still have an FA Cup Final trip to Wembley to look forward to. Not bad for an unfashionable Steve Bruce side.

So to keep those chins up in work on Tuesday, here are five things worse than Bruce’s record at Old Trafford.
