It’s ‘Digging Up Historical Disputes and Settling Them Through the Medium of Football Day’ at the World Cup today. Or ‘day one of the quarter-finals’ as it’s more commonly known.
The latest edition in the long-running battle between the Frankish people and the Teutons takes place in Rio de Janeiro at 5pm while at 9pm, Brazil host Colombia in Fortaleza. They’re neighbours too, but pretty much everyone’s neighbours with Brazil in South America. They don’t seem to have as much beef with each other. Brazil having beef with all its neighbours would be very time-consuming.
It’s Friday, so why not use that general social approval to have a few drinks while playing our fabulous Drinking Game? Nine out of 10 cats said they preferred it to any other Drinking Game they played while watching the World Cup.
The rules – and we use the word ‘rules’ advisedly because you can sack it off or just ignore it whenever suits you – are simple; every time one of the events mentioned in the drinking game actually happens, you knock back the amount of alcohol prescribed on the image. It’s designed for beer, but if you’re feeling dangerous, you could try it with a spot of vodka, or Toilet Duck.
