We never like to take joy from someone else getting hurt. At least not publicly. In private, it’s fine.
Plus, this was pretty funny from the Walsall v Bristol City game on Saturday. Walsall midfielder, Jordan Cook took a tumble battling for the ball near the touchline and inadvertently took the ironically-named linesman, Neil Hair out of it. Or maybe it was vertent – maybe he new exactly what he was doing and it was a clever way of exacting blame-free revenge. We doubt it though.
Anyway, whatever the motivation or lack thereof, the referee needed a few minutes of treatment in front of fans chanting ‘you fat bastard’ at him. Ah – the glamour of running the line in League One.
