The Breeders’ Cup meeting at Santa Anita, California this weekend has a pot worth $26m and a quality line-up of European raiders taking on the Americans.
The racing starts on Friday night at 21.25 (Irish and UK time) with the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, through to the mighty Breeders’ Cup Classic at 23.59 on Saturday night.
Saturday’s Classic is worth $5m alone with California Chrome one of 15 star entries.
Elsewhere, Aidan O’Brien’s lame champion Magician misses the 1m 4f Turf but still has multiple shots in three of the juvenile races with Qualify (Fillies’ Turf), The Great War (Juvenile) and War Envoy (Juvenile Turf).
