Andy Gray: Liverpool to win easily, Spurs to edge it and my 6/1 Europa League acca

by Andy Gray | February 18, 2015

Andy’s Europa Acca: Ajax, Liverpool, Villarreal and Wolfsburg all to win at 6/1

Young Boys v Everton – 6pm

Everton’s form is getting slightly better, they’re defending has improved and they’re not conceding as many goals as they might have done.

Young Boys don’t pose too much of a threat, as long as Everton don’t take them lightly.

As long as they respect their opponents, as there’s no reason why they wouldn’t, I expect Everton to come back from Switzerland with a 1-1 draw, at worst a 2-1 defeat.

I expect Everton to score and that will help them enormously in the second leg.

Liverpool v Besiktas – 8.05pm

If I was the manager of Liverpool in this game I’d be saying to my team ‘let’s go put this tie to bed’. If they work hard, go at them and if they can get two or three goals then Rodgers can rest a couple of players in the last half hour.
I’m going to go for Liverpool to win big here with a 3-0 victory.

Daniel Sturridge has played a few games now but Rodgers might look at resting him, depending on where he feels the young lad is at. Sterling is questionable ater his injury so Mario Balotelli could be set to start. If he’s in the starting line-up then I think he’s good value to score anytime at 13/10.

Tottenham v Fiorentina – 8.05pm

When I look at Fiorentina and their form in Italy they’re not so good at home. They’ve only won four of their home league games this season but they’re very difficult to beat away, typical of an Italian side.

I don’t see there being a lot of goals in this tie and I’m going to go for Tottenham to shade this because of their home form. I’d be looking at a 1-0 home win, maybe if Tottenham play really well a 2-0 win but 1-0 would be a scoreline that appeals to me.

Celtic v Inter Milan – 8.05pm

The draw appeals to me in this game. I think Inter’s experience will help them to get a result but I don’t think Celtic will be beaten. I think Celtic will either win the game or it’ll be a draw.

Inter Milan will be delighted with a score draw at Celtic Park before the return leg at the San Siro and I think that they’ll get it.
