Crystal Palace v West Brom,  Saturday 12:45

Palace are slight odds on in this one and I’m going with the bookies. It’s not going to be as open as people are making it out to be though. Palace have only won once from three games at home whereas West Brom are unbeaten away from home with two wins under their belt. A slight worry for Tony Pulis will be that they’ve only scored twice in those three away games.

West Brom will set up the way Tony Pulis sides do. To be tight at the back and not give anything away. He’ll make life difficult for his former side, but Palace should have enough in the side to see them off. They’ll have to work very hard for the win, but they have pace in side and they will be confident after a good start to the season.

Man City v Newcastle, Saturday 15:00

Man City have gotten over their recent hump with a good win away to Borussia Mönchengladbach and they should have far too much in the tank for a Newcastle side that are still searching for some form. City should win this one easily and after the embarrassment of the Spurs result expect a two goal plus winning margin. If your a City fan don’t be afraid to back a three or four goal margin with Aguero to score as well.

Chelsea v Southampton, Saturday 17:30

Chelsea have problems at the minute. It’s very simple. They’re big players have failed to play well. There are signs of a recovery. The second half of the Newcastle game they were much better and i wasn’t as disappointed as a lot of people. Porto is a tough place to go to get a win. If I was Mourinho I’d bring back John Terry. If they have fallen out it’s time to kiss and make up. They need his leadership qualities in the side.

Jose Mourinho

Southampton are a good side. They were unlucky to lose to Man United and they had a great win over Swansea last time out. A 2-1 scoreline isn’t the worst punt to make. Southampton have goals in the side and the Chelsea backline is still a little weak. Mane and Pelle are the two biggest threats for the Saints, but if you want a bit more value Tadic at 14/1 tends to get a few goals. For Chelsea Hazard and Pedro need to hit some form and start scoring.

Everton v Liverpool, Sunday 13:30

It’s going to be like all the other derby’s before it and be very tight. Liverpool will be boosted by the return of Daniel Sturridge and the win against Aston Villa. But they were pretty ordinary in the midweek game game against FC Sion. Home advantage will play a major part in this one. Liverpool have only scored two away goals so far this season, but the return of Daniel Sturridge will be huge.

Everton were very good in the second half against West Brom. Both managers are obsessed with passing games so we get a pass fest and not many chances, but I hope not. I hope Everton take the game to Liverpool, get Lukaku involved, get Barkley involved and test the Liverpool defenses resolve. Everton to win 2-1 and Lukaku to grab the first goal.

Arsenal v Man United, Sunday 16:00

Arsenal are favourites to win this one and I’m going with the bookies again. United are top of the league, but they haven’t been that impressive this season. They still have problems no doubt about that. Martial has done well and allowed Rooney to get involved more, but he still needs to start scoring goals. I was astounded that he didn’t take the penalty in midweek. He was very ordinary in a very ordinary side against Wolfsburg. United are doing what they used to do under Fergie when he was rebuilding a side. Winning without flair.

I don’t know how Arsenal will be after midweek. If they hadn’t played that game they’d be flying. The tie itself should lift Arsenal. Home advantage will be huge here. I can see Arsenal winning this game by a few goals. If they play like they did against Leicester and are as clinical as they were against Leicester they will score goals against United. A 3-1 Arsenal win with Walcott to get the first goal.
