Champions League: A 15/1 anytime goalscorer double on Arsenal and Chelsea to light up Tuesday night

by Paddy Power | October 20, 2015

Tuesday nights are strange. You’ve just gotten over Monday but there’s still three days until you can justify pints on Friday. Unless the Champions League is back and thankfully for us, it is.
Arsenal tackle Bayern Munich at the Emirates while Chelsea hit the road to face Dynamo Kiev.

The Gunners are playing well and despite Chelsea looking like they could implode as quickly as an England team facing a penalty shoot-out – there could be a bit of value in the goalscorers’ market on Tuesday night.

Arsenal v Bayern Munich, Tuesday 7.45pm

The sides have met eight times in the Champions League since the 2000/2001 season and Arsenal’s record reads W2, D2, L4.

If the Gunners are to get their first win in Group F they’ll need to rely on just more than  If Arsenal are to have any hope they need players other than Alexis Sanchez scoring goals.

Arsenal need to win this more than Donald Trump needs a brick to the face so expect an attack-minded rather than a ‘resting-my-best players-for-no-apparent-reason’ Arsene Wenger formation.

And in midfielder Aaron Ramsey they’ve an 11 goals in 42 Champions League appearances player – an average of a goal every 3.8 games. An anytime goalscorer punt looks like a solid bet given Arsenal’s record against the German champions.

Dinamo Zagreb v Chelsea, Tuesday, 7.45pm

A 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday will have settled a few nerves down Stamford Bridge way but the Special One is still in P45 territory if their Champions League challenge goes tits up anytime soon.

Oscar was axed for the Villa game but even Roman Abramovich must know that the Brazilian play-maker has an impressive goal scoring record in this competition, hitting the net every 3.4 games.

The Blues have conceded 19 goals this season and tend to get opened up on more than gangs in South Central LA  – but they should have enough quality to win this game. Oscar looks a great bet to win back some love from his under-fire manager by scoring at anytime over the 90 minutes.
