Whisper it quietly – but there are just four weekends left until Christmas, so just four Saturday’s left to pocket as many pennies as possible as the madness of festive parties/last-minute shopping/and general merriment hits top speed. Among the madness of the Powers That Be installing a beer fridge in Power Tower, we haven’t had a chance to dip into Saturday’s form, but fortunately our crack team of tipsters have.
Racing pundit Matt Chapman, jockey Ruby Walsh, our mysterious PP Racing Trader, and the man with the cheekiest smile in racing, Turftalk Tom make up our expert panel of tipsters as we try to crack another Saturday’s action on C4. Last weekend both Chapman and Ruby chipped in with a nice little 3/1 double, while all four managed to pluck out 2/5 winner Vatour. Shrewd.
There’s a feast of C4 action from Newbury and Newcastle, including the Hennessy Gold Cup, so let’s waste no further time and get stuck in. Irving in the Fighting Fifth at 2.05 at Newcastle, and Cole Harden in the Long Distance Hurdle at 2.25pm at Newbury both get three ticks out of four – and make up a tempting 12/1 double.
