It’s that time of year, where Arsenal fans get their hopes up about what could happen come May. Usually, it’s relating to lifting the Premier League title for the first time in an increasing number of years. But given the weakness of the rest of the main challengers (the ”specialist in failure” jab is coming back to bite Jose Mourinho) can Arsenal find the consistency to take them through their annual February dip in form?
Last week, they were unfortunate to not at least get a point against West Brom, having dominated the game. A missed Santi Cazorla penalty costing them the draw. But they bounced back midweek by destroying Dinamo Zagreb, with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez looking hotter than one of Delia Smith’s steak and kidney pies. But Arsene Wenger’s men haven’t won in November so far. Not Arsene Wenger’s favorite month
Norwich looked good in their defeat to Chelsea. Losing by the single goal was progress for Alex Neil. But they’ve conceded the same amount as last placed Aston Villa, and coming up against a rampant Gunners, expect that tally will rise. Alexis and Ozil will need to be snuffed out, otherwise it could be a long evening for Neil. Sanchez to score two or more or Arsenal -1 are value bets. For the outside bet Aaron Ramsey finished the Champions League game midweek, and is coming back to full fitness, so he’s worth a punt in a wincast
