This Eagle will soar over Chelsea in this 14/1 shot at Selhusrt Park

The Chelsea ''rats'' could be easy prey for Eagles.

by David Kent | January 3, 2016

Now that Chelsea are the best team in the world again ,and the ”rats” have been somewhat forgiven, Guus Hiddink can focus on getting them out of a relegation scrap. Palace are fighting for the top six. No, that’s not the wrong way round. And the champions’ worries could be compounded further in this London derby

Chelsea have not been good away from home, averaging less than a point per game. Even Newcastle have a better ratio than that. NEWCASTLE! They’ve been even worse against young pacey attackers. Riyad Mahrez, Coutinho, Sadio Mane , Bojan and Raheem Sterling have all opened up a defence that used to be strong.

And they’re in trouble again when they come up against Wilfried Zaha

He’s got pace, he’s got skill, and he’s a nightmare to come up against. If he gets a run on Azpilicuetta or Ivanovic, he’ll do a lot of damage.  Palace will need him with Yohan Cabaye missing. Given their defensive record (and Chelsea’s attacking one) ,a wincast with Zaha at is worth a fiver

Guus Hiddink

Guus Hiddink has drawn twice so far in his second spell, matches which on paper, he should’ve won. Home to Watford (I said on paper!) and Manchester United – the team that everyone loves to beat. But he’ll have to strike early if he wants to beat Palace. The stats don’t lie

  • Palace have only conceded nine goals at home so far
  • They’ve scored more set piece goals than any other Premier League side
  • Chelsea have only scored eight goals away from home
  • Zaha has been fouled more than any other Palace player

Key to them set piece goals has been Scott Dann, he’s scored against both Everton and Liverpool so far this season. He’s to score anytime against Chelsea

I don’t think this one is going to be a goal fest. Under 2.5 goals would be my safest bet in this piece at . For correct score, I’m looking at Palace to shut out Hazard and co. A 2-0 home win at is a good bet.

However, Chelsea are unbeaten in their last three. That draw against Watford saw Diego Costa score twice. He’s had a rest, and will be raring to win back the Chelsea fandom. At to open the scoring, Blues fans will be hopeful. Messers Hazard and Oscar are well equipped to shoot down the Eagles

If not Diego, you could always throw a couple of elbows, that’ll get them back on your side!
