There’s still magic in the Cup, and these Championship sides could fall in this Trixie

The Premiership sides may not fall, but there's a high chance of some Championship casualties

by David Kent | January 7, 2016

Many sides are dreaming of playing in the stadium above, but only four will in the FA Cup. The lowest-ranked team still in the competition are Eastleigh, and they’re one of the sides that could cause a serious shock.

Eastleigh vs Bolton

Bolton’s troubles both on and off the field have been well documented. Only 19 goals, two wins, and rooted in the relegation zone of the Championship. The rumors around their financial situation say the club are close to entering examinership. That would mean a points deduction and thus solidify their relegation.
The last place they want to go is a tiny ground, with small dressing rooms, and a hostile Conference crowd. Contrary to their opponents, Eastleigh are in form with five wins in their last eight, and knocked out Crewe on the way to the third round. They’ve only lost once since October.  Eastleigh are to win, which is decent value

Brentford vs Walsall

Brentford were on a hot streak but that has cooled slightly. Just three wins in almost three months has seen the Bees lose their sting, and slip to 10th in the Championship table. Walsall were seven unbeaten, with five wins,  until they were upset by Rochdale on the 2nd.

But the Saddlers have a real chance heading to London. The head to head shows that Walsall have only lost twice in their last 10 against Brentford, all coming recently in League One meetings. Walsall to win is

Peterborough vs Preston

Finally, Preston need to up it for their game away in London Road. The League One side have been taking the division by storm in their mission to return to the second tier, with Chris Forrester pulling the strings.

Preston haven’t been scoring away from home, and up against a Posh side that have taken 16 points from their last eight, and scored 52 goals in just 25 games , the Lilywhites could be heading out of the cup. The Posh to win is

Putting these three in a Trixie will give you a return of €65, so even if your teams goes out of the Cup early (cough Villa fans), this’ll make you feel a whole lot better
